The Valeton VLP-200 Multi-Track Sampler dual footswitches independently control the recording and playback of LOOP 1 and LOOP 2! Its two built-in looper collaboration modes (SERIAL & FREE) allow for easy parallel playback of two loops or transition song sections between two loop tracks.

In SERIAL mode, when both LOOP 1 and LOOP 2 contain recordings, you can control them to play in sequence, enabling seamless transitions between different sections and flexible control over the song’s structure.

When LOOP 1 and LOOP 2 are empty tracks, start by recording a bottom track on LOOP 1 and play it back. LOOP 2 will enter “waiting” mode and begin recording immediately after LOOP 1 completes its current loop. If LOOP 1 is reactivated during the recording of LOOP 2, LOOP 1 will start playing immediately, and the recording on LOOP 2 will automatically stop.

In FREE mode, LOOP 1 and LOOP 2 can play simultaneously, and their recording durations do not affect each other. Essentially, in this mode, you have two fully functional, independently operating loopers.

Smart-doubling track overdubbing, Unleash your creative flow

The length of each overdub track of LOOP 1 or 2 can be controlled as an integer multiple of the length of its own base track. If the current LOOP contains a recording, the overdub duration can be set to an integer multiple of the current loop track length. This is a useful technique for creative players. If the overdub recording time is not an integer multiple after pressing the footswitch to end recording, the footswitch light will become blue and flash slowly until the recording ends automatically at an integer multiple.

Brand-new high-sampling-rate drum rhythm, the drum beats intelligently synchronize with the musical track

VLP-200 has built-in 100 new rhythm patterns with metronome, composed of 24-bit, 48 kHz high sampling rate drum samples. Offers 16 diverse rhythmic drum kit styles, including rock, pop, electronic, jazz, metal, and beyond. When you start recording a track while the drum machine is active, the VLP-200 automatically quantizes the phrases, ensuring that playback of recorded segments stays synchronized with the drum machine. This allows you to naturally align your loops with the drumbeats in every performance, maintaining synchronization while preserving the natural feel of your playing.

User-friendly ‘Auto Record’ feature eliminates the rush when starting loops

The VLP-200 features a user-friendly “Auto Record” function tailored for lighter looper users. Press and hold the MEMORY/SAVE knob allows you to switch the current recording mode between Manual Recording (MR) and Automatic Recording (AR). When switched to Automatic Recording, the current LOOP will automatically start recording upon detecting a certain level of signal input after pressing the footswitch.

The 4-color loop indicator lights make the workflow more intuitive

The VLP-200’s two footswitches each feature a four-color LED halo (red, green, blue, yellow). The steady and flashing lights indicate various operations: recording, playback, overdubbing, standby, delete, undo/redo, making the workflow quick and intuitive.

Suitable for a variety of devices including guitars, basses, and microphones

The VLP-200 features an INST/MIC transition switch, allowing compatibility with both instruments and dynamic microphones. The signal output automatically adjusts according to the connected device without the need for separate settings.

99 storage spaces, your on-the-go band member

The VLP-200 uses 24-bit, 48 kHz high-sampling-rate digital audio processing to deliver professional-quality recordings. Up to 99 project storage spaces, each of which can store a single LOOP of up to 4-minute stereo recording files (24-bit, 48 kHz, WAV) for a total of 7 hours. The information stored for each project includes: all recordings in LOOP 1 and LOOP 2, the selected drum rhythm pattern, and the BPM of the drum machine. Rich interface, expand more functions

The VLP-200 features CTRL and MIDI (IN/OUT) connector. The CTRL connector is used to connect external footswitches, with a single footswitch toggling the drum machine on or off, and a long press accessing Tap Tempo mode to adjust the drum machine speed. The MIDI interface synchronizes external devices with the VLP-200.

Companion computer software to manage audio and update firmware

The VLP-200 is compatible with computer software, supporting both Windows and MacOS. When you connect the VLP-200 to your computer via USB, you can use the software to import and export recorded audio and perform firmware updates, among other operations.
