The Remo Encore heads are the price-performance star from Remo’s head range. The heads are manufactured in the Taiwanese Remo factory according to the design of their American siblings. A difference is made when attaching the Mylar film to the aluminum ring:
Instead of connecting the two with liquid glue, the striking surface is pressed into the aluminum ring together with a steel core and thus firmly joined together.

Drum head with diameter of 14” from Encore Ambassador series that is produced in Remo’s Taiwan facility but features a similar film that is used in American Remo made heads. However, the structure is crimped with aluminium channel around a steel insert ring (unlike the original poured glued head) and therefor the head fatigues at a quicker pace. Drum head still delivers open, bright sound with a long sustain, and can be used in a variety of genres.
